Valle Nevado is a winter resort located in the heart of the Andes Mountains at 9,925 feet, only 37 miles and less than 2 hours from the Santiago International Airport.
The resorts' elevation and southeast orientation combine to create an ideal setting for South American skiing. Valle Nevado is a popular option for a summer ski trip - this destination resort offers 3 hotels, 8 restaurants, 3 bars, fitness center, heated swimming pool and entertainment activities.
Valle Nevado is the largest ski area in South America offering 2,000 acres, 2,600 vertical feet and 23 miles of groomed pistes (14% beginners, 30% intermediate, 42% advanced and 14% expert). Valle Nevado is also home to the only high-speed quad chairlift in Chile.
If the trail accessible powder, groomed slopes and terrain park aren't enough of a SnowVenture for you, Valle Nevado also offers heli-skiing that will have you reaching altitudes of over 14,470 feet with virgin snow descents of up to 1.2 miles.
