The largest ski resort in North Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley looks and feels like a ski area in the Alps. The high alpine terrain is vast and the village is charming. With so many wide-open bowls and snowfields, Squaw Valley ski area has few named runs. The lifts are named, and skiers and riders pick their own routes down the mountain. What should be called a trail map at Squaw Valley is referred to as a Mountain Guide. Allow us to help make Squaw Valley your destination by booking everything, from lodging, transportation, lift tickets, and rentals, all on one website. We offer discounts and specials on most everything you'll need to make this a trip to remember. Squaw Valley USA opened in 1949 but became part of skiing lore in 1960 when the resort hosted the Winter Olympics. It's hopeless to try to ski the entire resort in one day, and those in-the-know pick an area and do laps on the lift, finding a new line each time down. Squaw Valley isn't only about the steeps. The whole mid-mountain area above High Camp is an absolute dream for beginners and intermediates.

And why not save yourself money during your ski holiday to the Colorado Rocky Mountains? We offer discounts and deals on airfare, lodging, transportation, lift tickets and rentals - when you book your trip with us we help take care of the little details all at once. And speaking of details, here's a little information about what you'll find when you get there:

Aspen Mountain
It's been 60 years since "Ajax" first opened to the delight of skiers the world over, and since then it has grown to be the winter destination of choice for a wide range of skiers and riders. The mountain's 673 acres are comprised of 48% Intermediate and 52% Expert terrain, providing an opportunity to challenge experienced skiers and riders.

Highlands
Aspen Highlands was introduced in 1958 and currently has 131 runs spread over 790 acres. It's best known for its 300 inches of annual snowfall and as a smorgasbord of expert and extreme terrain-there are enough steeps and bumps to satisy the thrill seeker in anyone! Be sure to check out the beautiful Highlands bowl while you're there-not only will the scenery catch your breath, but you'll enjoy some of the best open bowl terrain in Colorado.

Buttermilk
Buttermilk is renowned for its celebrated ski school and its affection for snowboarders. At 420 acres, Buttermilk is the smallest of the four and also has the most forgiving landscape for beginners. As the home of the ESPN Winter X-Games, they have also committed themselves to creating a snowboarding wonderland with a terrain park-complete with a superpipe, over 25 rails and an abundance of other features-stretching down the slopes for over two miles!

Snowmass
Snowmass, at over 3,000 skiable acres, is one of the largest resorts in Colorado. The village has everything you could want or need, including a variety of stores, restaurants and pubs to peruse when you're not on the slopes. Of course, you may be too busy schussing down one of the 84 runs-the variety of terrain and their attention to detail in accommodating skiers of every skill level unsures that everyone will find a favorite.

Reserve an Aspen ski package and come see what all the fuss is about. All four mountains are constantly improving with new lifts, more terrain and additions to the base villages, which will make your skiing vacation to the Colorado Rocky Mountains one to remember for a long time.

One of the greatest things about Copper Mountain is that the terrain has a natural divide by difficulty. If you are a beginner on beginner runs, there is no way you'll find yourself on a run greater than your ability. Since most of the ski area faces north, the snow will hold better in the winter. Also, many wildfires in the past have left vegetation sparse, making for more wide-open spaces for winter recreation. Copper Mountain is a fantastic place for riders and skiers of all abilities.

Let us help make your trip as delightful as possible with as little hassle to you with Copper Mountain Ski Resort and package deals. You can plan your trip on one website, and save money at the same time. We offer discounts and specials on most everything you'll need to make your trip special, including lodging, transportation, rentals, and lift tickets. We'll book your trip and take care of the details.

The Copper Mountain village thrives throughout the summer with live music, festivals, craft fairs, light shows, and art showings. Since Copper sits within Arapahoe National Forest, there are all sorts of trails for biking, hiking, horseback riding, and backpacking in the summer.

Only two and a half years after the first shovel-full of dirt was taken, Copper Mountain has earned a reputation as "the most nearly perfect ski mountain in the United States." Located at 9,700 feet, each section of this pedestrian-only village has been designed to enhance the high alpine views while capturing the Colorado sun. The Village at Copper continues to thrive, with new dining, aprŠs and activities providing even more variety and excitement for guests.

The town of Telluride was founded in the late 1800s with a mining boom. The town began to take on quite a character of its own, giving rise to a hotel and opera house, as well as brothels, saloons, gambling halls and the like. It was indeed a frontier mining town with all the trappings. And with all the gold and silver, the local bank made a tempting target, and was purportedly the site of Butch Cassidy's first heist, netting him a take of $24,580. Today, Telluride's gold is its white powder.

Goodbye, daily routine. Hello, Rocky Mountain paradise. Welcome to the website that's about to save you both time and money with custom, inclusive Vail vacation packages. We're here to help with every aspect of your Colorado ski holiday, be it airfare, transportation, rentals, lodging, lift tickets - or any possible combination.

That's big news, especially when we're talking about the biggest ski resort in the US - both literally and figuratively. Vail is consistently ranked the top resort in North America within ski media publications and, perhaps more importantly, has long been a favorite of skiers themselves. And with 5,289 skiable acres spread across a prime seven mile stretch of the Rockies, Vail dwarfs most other resorts in comparison. Amidst that lengthy strectch are almost 200 trails, 32 lifts, four terrrain parks and seven bowls. Talk about choices.

Vail itself started with a choice made by a 10th Mountain Division ski trooper who served in World War II named Pete Seibert. Upon his return, hoping to recover his skill on the slopes, Pete began looking for a mountain to develop into a resort. After excelling in international ski competitions, he attended resort management schools in the highly successful skiing vacation destinations of France and Switzerland. In the late 1950's, he chose the Vail Valley as the future home of his vision, and a winter phenomenon was born.

Take a break from your obligations, stresses and ruts. Let us help you find your way to a place where deep powder, spectacular scenery and crisp mountain air are the everyday reality.
Think Vail might be a stretch of your budget? Vail is packed with values - from Early Booking discounts to free days of skiing - we can help plan a great Vail vacation for you. Speaking of value, your Vail lift ticket is valid at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin!

If you think you need to own a rung high on the social ladder to enjoy skiing this posh but somewhat misunderstood resort, think again. Our customized Beaver Creek ski packages make it both easy and affordable for anyone to visit and enjoy a top notch winter vacation. Do you need lodging and transportation arrangements? Ski rentals and lift tickets? All of the above? Believe it or not, we can help you with all of that right here.

But first, we've got to dispel the high-falutin' myth which seems to have attached itself to the region. You see, there's a difference between "posh" and "pretentious:. A pretentious resort inherently creates too much empty space in your wallet, consists of pleasant but invariably uninspiring terrain and encourages standing around the fireplace with a brandy more than actual skiing. In other words, their priorities are completely out of whack.
Not Beaver Creek. In fact, it's becoming more and more common for World Cup racers to crown the idyllic Rocky Mountain resort as their favorite. And every year, the area is inundated with both athleetes and spectators following the siren song of the Birds of Prey Men's World Cup. Does that sound like they're not serious about skiing?
The reigning passion of pride at Beaver Creek is grooming (slope grooming, not social). They like to do it so much that it keeps 52 operators occupied for almost 20 hours per day, seven days a week. The result is access to 776 groomed acres each day they're open. That's a pretty big commitment to their skiers.
So don't write off Beaver Creek before you delve beneath the surface a bit. They're serious about skiing and we're serious about helping you find that out. Take a look at what we can do for you and start packing for a beautiful witner trip to Colorado.

Winter Park is spread across three mountains - Winter Park, Mary Jane, and Vasquez Ridge. The three are connected by several trails and multiple lifts. Although there are trails of all difficulty spread between the three different mountains, they are clearly marked. A special area for beginners and ski lessons makes newcomers feel at home.

In the early 1900s when the Moffat Tunnel was completed through the Rockies, Front Range locals began to ride the train to Winter Park. The shacks built for the tunnel construction crews made perfect warming huts for hardy skiers who climbed the mountains and cruised down on long boards. The ski area now is part of the Denver public parks system and ranks as one of the largest ski areas in the state.

Big Sky, with a very dramatic Matterhorn-shaped peak stopping out at 11,166 feet, is for serious skiers from the summit, but it has premium cruisers near the base. The intermediate groomers are so exhilarating that those who tire out on the expert terrain have plenty to smile about as they play on the lower trails with friends and family. We can help you experience this euphoria by assisting you in booking everything from lodging, transportation, lift tickets, and rentals. We can make this trip as close to hassle free as possible, and it all can be done on one website. Big Sky's terrain is on the south and east sides of Lone Peak, north of Lone Peak is Moonlight Basin. The relationship between the ski areas was chilly for two seasons, but in June 2005 they reached an agreement to offer a a combined pass. Big Sky's higher altitude and more northerly latitude result in better snow preservation, while Moonlight Basin's northerly exposure results in mostly packed powder conditions. The two resorts share the same mountain - Lone Peak, which is nearly an hour from Bozeman. At one time, the resorts shared several trails and a lift. But previously, it was necessary to purchase a ticket or season pass from each if you wanted to ski them both.

With over 2,500 shreddable acres, Snowbird offers a multitude of super-novice to supernova choices, including deep powder at Peruvian Gulch.

Rail sides, tabletops, kickers, and sidekicks give riders a multitude of continuous hits throughout Snowbird's terrain park. With a sculpted half pipe and quarter pipe harmonizing with the magnificent natural Snowbird terrain, no wonder pro boarders like Tina and Mike Baisch, Bjorn and Erik Leines and Sean Lake call Snowbird home.

With a high-speed detachable quad and some adventuresome enthusiasm, skiers don't have to dream about skiing Mineral Basin anymore; this much-coveted, huge powder bowl, with deep fresh snow was opened during the 2000 season. Snowbird has also teamed up with the Alta Ski Area to offer more terrain, powder and snow on one lift ticket to skiers. So catch some vertical air on one of Snowbird's runs, and experience some of the most feather-light, ultra dry powder snow in the world.

IS IT REALLY THE WILD WEST?

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a totally unique destination. Where else can you take a sleigh ride through 10,000 wintering elk, view herds of bison and be asked to ski defensively to avoid moose on the cat-tracks? Or take in the annual Cowboy Ski Challenge where skiers are pulled over 40 mph behind horses over jumps and other obstacles then kick back and drink Moose Drool in the famous Mangy Moose apres-ski hang out. Two National Parks consider JHMR neighbors, statistics show a skier an acre (still!) on the slopes, and powder can be had in the backcountry almost the entire season. There is harmony to be found ...Ski fanatics staying at the slopeside Hostel X hang with the small spa crowd and never a cross word is heard between rider and skier, but if you are looking for pure unadulturated skiing and riding on the wildest mountain in the lower 48, Jackson Hole cannot be touched...

As of January 23rd, 2007, all persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air to Canada will be required to present a valid passport to re-enter the country. A valid driver's license will no longer suffice for re-entry documentation. It can take six weeks or more to process a new one, so plan ahead.

    The Countdown Is On

In February 2010, the world's attention will turn to Whistler, Host Mountain Resort of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
The energy is building, so don't wait until 2010 to feel it. All three of Whistler's Winter Games competition venues are complete and ready to explore. Ski the cross-country trails, try out the alpine course or come watch one of the many national and international sport events planned for this winter. Visit the Vancouver 2010 Information Centre in Whistler Village and take a seat in a real bobsled or stand on the podium for a "gold medal" moment.
The Countdown to 2010 is on, and Whistler is ready to share its Olympic spirit today.

On December 12, 2008, the dream to link Whistler and Blackcomb mountains becomes a reality with the grand opening of the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. The world-record breaking gondola is the first lift of its kind in North America and is destined to become Canada's newest tourism icon. During the winter, skiers and riders will enjoy infinite opportunities to experience the side-by-side mountains. In the summer, the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola will bring sightseers and hikers into the high alpine to experience breathtaking scenic views of Garibaldi Provincial Park. Spanning 2.73 miles in total distance from mountain to mountain, the Doppelmayr 3S tri-cable gondola boasts the world's longest unsupported span of 1.88 miles, as well as the world's highest lift of its kind at 1,427 feet above the valley floor.

Welcome to the Whistler Blackcomb Experience

When Whistler Mountain opened in February of 1966, few people understood the impact the resort would eventually have on the North American snow scene. How could they? No one had ever attempted anything on such a large scale before. Today, Whistler Blackcomb virtually defines the big-mountain resort scene with the highest vertical, biggest acreage, most glaciers, best glades, a renowned terrain park and, arguably, the world's best mountain bike park. The longest winter season in North America in combination with summer glacier skiing and riding, alpine sightseeing and hiking, and the Whistler Mountain Bike Park make Whistler Blackcomb a year round, world class resort destination.
