Located in the legendary ski town of Park City, The Canyons is one of North America's largest single ski and snowboard resorts, providing you with an endless number of options. With three world class lodging properties, eight mountains, 3,700 acres of diverse terrain, 152 trails, 17 lifts and the greatest snow on earth, it's no wonder The Canyons is your ultimate winter playland.

This season, bigger just got better. The Canyons has invested over $10 million in improvements to the resort, including the installation on the all-new DreamCatcher lift that opens an additional 200+ acres of pristine glades and natural trails, upgrading the Tombstone Express to a high-speed six-pack and completing a major expansion of Red Pine Lodge.

All of this is located just 32 freeway miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport and just minutes from historic downtown Park City. This means you'll spend more time skiing and riding and less time getting to the resort.

And Deer Valley prides itself on providing exceptional customer service, consistent quality and attention to every detail, thus making your ski vacation the best it can be.

Spread out over four mountains, Deer Valley offers excellent skiing for every level of skier, from beginners to experts. To accommodate this, Deer Valley boasts one of the finest grooming fleets in the ski industry.

Great Beginner and Intermediate Terrain:
At an elevation of 8,400 feet, Bald Eagle Mountain offers ideal terrain for beginner and intermediate skiers. First timers will appreciate the separate, protected beginners' area known as Wide West, accessed by two chairlifts, Burns and Snowflake. Bald Mountain, at an elevation of 9,400 feet, offers intermediate and challenging skiing with spectacular views. Strong skiers in search of steeper, ungroomed trails and Utah's famous light powder will be rewarded on numerous runs in the Sultan and Mayflower areas. The 9,100-foot Flagstaff Mountain offers a variety of intermediate and beginner ski trails especially well suited for family skiing, in addition to extensive gladed areas. Skiers also will find access to Ontario Bowl along with spectacular views of Park City and the mountains to the east. Empire Canyon, at 9,570 feet, offers intermediate terrain along with some of the most advanced skiing at Deer Valley, including eight chutes and three bowls. Empire Canyon also will be home to a new lift-served family ski area. A new triple chairlift and two new ski runs will provide even more room for family fun.

Ideal for families, Deer Valley not only offers varying terrain, but its ski school has many programs for all ages: children, teenagers and adults alike. The ski school also operates a licensed childcare facility for non-skiing children ages 2 months to 12 years old.

Other Amenities:
Many have said that dining at Deer Valley is an experience in itself. With four on-mountain restaurants, skiers can choose from family-style dining to an elegant dinner in a rustic and comfortable setting. Deer Valley Resort is consistently rated as one of North America's top resorts offering the finest in skiing, dining, lodging and customer service.

It's 9:05 a.m. as you glide off the lift first run of the day. The air is frosty and pure as glacier water. The sky is cloudless. Eight inches of bone-dry powder blanketed the mountain last night, and you mentally thank Mother Nature for this magnificent quirk of Utah's climate. You tighten your boots a notch, lower your center of gravity, and drop off into heaven.

These mountain conditions aren't just great, they're epic. And in Park City, they're common.

From deep powder bowls to long groomed runs, gentle beginner slopes to steep chutes, three world-class terrain parks and the 2002 Olympic Superpipe, Park City Mountain Resort has something for everyone. The Resort has a wide selection of terrain from beginner to expert, allowing the whole family to ski what they want, when they want. And, with our Fast Tracks pass, free with all 4+ multi-day tickets, it's easier to get more skiing and riding in. This special pass, available at the Resort Services Office, allows the holder access to express lanes at our most popular lifts.

Rich in tradition and fun, Park City Mountain Resort has earned acclaim by long-time loyalists as the heart of American skiing.
